Weekend Lift
A weekend lift is an exceedingly popular procedure which involves an incision in the front of the ear and that runs slightly up behind the ear. The procedure is named for the period of time for which convalescence is expected. However, in general, the convalescence runs approximately one week!
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation in the operating room and is optimally suited to almost any patient over the age of 40 who does not desire an incision that is visible after surgery to either themselves or to their hairdresser.
The results of this procedure are often astounding and can be expected to last for approximately five years.
Some sagging of the neck may occur in patients with very loose necks before that time who wait until late in life to have the surgery or in those with advanced sun damage and wrinkles. However, for most patients, weekend lifting alone provides a dramatic and very suitable rejuvenation of the face, neck, and jaw line.
Some examples of weekend lifts are shown below.
