Contour Threads Cable Lift
Contour Threads are a patented self anchoring thread technology that permit a minimally invasive surgical approach for elevation and fixation of skin. Contour Threads are used for the elevation and fixation of the midface, brow, and neck areas.
These specifically designed sutures are fashioned from clear polypropylene, a material that has been safely used in the body for many years in other medical products.
This facelift technique requires no cutting. Instead, tiny strings, which act as pulleys, are inserted underneath the skin and attached to the facial tissues.
During the procedure, the strings are stretched, which causes the skin to pull on itself. This procedure is ideal for a patient who's not quite ready for a facelift, with droopy brows, mild jowls or a little looseness in the neck. The thread stays underneath the skin and the procedure can be performed in the office with little to no downtime and minimal discomfort.
The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes. Both topical and injectable anesthesias are employed, and occasionally sedation is used. Some examples of patients we have treated are shown below.
