Botox™
Botox™ is now the most widely performed cosmetic procedure in the United States. Botox™ is injected under the skin. It produces its effects by weakening the muscles that create wrinkles. It works in the forehead, in crows' feet, around the wrinkles in the mouth and for cording (turkey gobbler!) in the neck. It lasts for approximately three to six months.
In our office, Botox™ is injected relatively painlessly using a variety of techniques which we have presented internationally. We are a national teaching center for Allergan (Botox™) and instruct physicians in its use.
We have developed a procedure which we term the “Botox™ facelift”. This procedure is performed on the majority of our Botox™ patients, and rejuvenates the face in most of its aspects. It is part of our “facelift bypass”. While not a substitute for surgery, patients are quite happy with the results!
